By "everyone" do you mean other accounts on the PC or other PCs on the
network? Need more information/detail.
But to answer your question...yes, there is something you could have done.
Look at the share permissions of the drive/folders. Look at your firewall
settings. Did you turn off sharing? Lots of possibilities but it would be
helpful if you would post back with more information...like what are the
error messages "everyone" gets when trying to access the files. Is this a
networked environment? Is this a corporate (i.e. domain) environment?
