Denied access to a pst file copied from another computer

I copied my pst file from Outlook (from my former company) to a CD and then copied them to another computer (at my new office). Now when I try to open the pst file from my new computer, I get two messages:

1) Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use...
2)File access denied, you don't have permission to access the pst file.

I was using Outlook 2000 at my previous company, and my new employer also uses Outlook 2000
I have an existing pst on my new machine, but I'm not able to open the old pst file...I know it's there because of the file size.

Any suggestions?

Right click the file. Choose properties. Uncheck the read only box. Now try
to open the file.
