Dell Dimension Video Drivers

Seems like everyone want you to buy Vista and upgrade from XP to Vista. So I
go out and purchase Windows Vista upgrade install it and THEN I find out that
my 3 year old DELL Dimension 2400 with an Intel Integrated 845 G/GL REV
A08-00 does not have a video driver that works ? So why is that Microsoft did
not have the driver in there new operating system for older proprietary
systems ? So does anyone know were I can find display drivers that work with
Vista? For Dell Dimension systems? Dell technical support said there are none.

There are none because Dell and/or Intel decided not to provide Vista
support/drivers.
Is this computer a desktop? If so, what kind of graphics card slot is
available on the motherboard? You may be able to buy and install a
Vista-supported graphics card.

Yes it is a desktop system with only one PCI slot avaliable and NO AGP slot
so I should see if someone has a card with a PCI slot that works with Vista.
Do you know of any PCI Graphics cards that work with Vista ?

Not offhand, but it doesn't matter. PCI graphics are really bad. You'd
be better off just using the onboard graphics and going back to XP on
that machine. It isn't really suitable for Vista.
