Dell 3100cn Skewed Printing Problem

M

Mike from Mass

The Dell 3100cn does not print straight. Horizontal lines run downhill
to the right, over 7.5 inches they drop about 1.0 mm if you use Tray 1,
and by about 1.5 mm if you use Manual Feed Tray. Dell sent a
subcontractor Tech to replace the paper feed mechanism, but same skewed
results. Tech reports that ALL of the 3100cn printers he has worked on
have this skew problem, nothing he has tried -- including full
replacement by Dell of the printer -- ever works. Seems to be some
inherent problem with the printer. Has anyone encountered or solved
this problem?

Did you ever solve this problem?

My Dell 3000cn has all of a sudden started to skew printed output. This only happens on pages printed from the default tray (that is, the verso printed through the duplex unit is fine). Did you ever get to the bottom of this? Would sure help!

Thanks,
Colin
