Group,
I purchased XP home about a year ago. My first install
atempt ended with XP tellin me there was an error withtht
installation. SO I Ran install again. IT went well, Now
after a year I've been getting many errors telling me the
dlls are no longer correct. So I ran the XP install disc
and tried to repair the installation this time it said
the repar was unsuccessful. so I installed a third copy
of XP home on my computer. I learned with my first
installation that it wipes out all your personal files so
I had it make a new directory for each installation. I
noe have a Windows, Windows1 & windows2 directories. My
question is How do I delete the previous two
installations? when I trey to delete the files WIndows
tells me they are protected even when I didn't boot from
that install. I have 3 choices of windows installation to
chose from at each boot up.
I am about ready to install another hard drive and name i
C then do a fourth installation. using the current
harddrive as a drive to save my files on. Can enyone help
me?
