deleting selected temp internet files

I'd like to delete some but not all of my temporary internet files. XP
appears to copy the selected files to the recycle bin rather than move them
there, as the files continue to show up in the temporary internet files
folder.
 
Use this path to open the TIF folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Account
Name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. Highlight and delete what's
not wanted. I open this to do this as part of cleaning up. I myself save
my ISP webpage entries so I won't get "page not found" message.

I don't have them reappear in Recycle Bin; must be a setting somewhere.
Others may have an idea.
