deleting .NET passport, but keeping MSN account

I have an MSN account. In the past, when people would click on "view
profile," a site would come up saying "this user does not have a
profile." I recently went onto msn chats, and to do that i had to
create a profile. I no longer want this profile, but i want to keep
my MSN account. Is there anyway for me to delete that profile but
still keep my msn account with all my contacts? Thanks in advance.

I doubt it. Your MSN account is a .NET account.

But how come i was able to have an MSN account without having a .NET account?
