Deleting Multiple Contacts Folders

For some reason Outlook 2003 will add a Contacts folder to my address book
and i now have 9 in there. Only the last one has any contacts in it and when
I delete the other Contacts folders they will come back. sometimes the next
time I open Outlook and sometimes not. How do I stop this from happening??
