Hello All, I have a template that somebody else built that had a macro
associated with it. When I open it, there is a message that reads " XX
contains macros.....Disable...Enable...More info". I used Tools>Macro and
deleted the macro that was associated with this template. But now when I
open it, I still get the message. How do I prevent this??

Thanks so much.

Save it as an RTF file. Then open the RTF file and save that as a template.
(For safety, save it with a different name, and try using it. If all is ok,
then you can delete the original and rename the new template to the old
name.)

Because the RTF format doesn't have any provision for saving the binary bits
that make Word think it still has macros, the round-trip will clean up those
bits.
