Word 2007 macros

I have business templates that have macros on them and are linked to word so
you can open them as a new doc and select which one to use. The macros DO
NOT work. I have macros Enabled. When I pull out the individual templates
and put them on my desktop and use them from there, they work fine.
Something has to be blocking these but I have no idea what it could be. Any
help would be appreciated!

Is the folder containing your templates trusted (Office button-Word
options->Trust Center->trusted Locations)? (Maybe worth having a good
look around the Trust Center while you are there)

I added the template folder to the trusted locations and it still doesn't
work. It seems like the folder blocks the macros somehow. They work fine
when they're loose on the desktop. The same thing happened when I linked
them to word. They were a in a subfolder within a main folder and they
wouldn't link until I put the folder on the desktop. That worked fine as far
as linking them, so I put the folder back in it's main folder and Word
couldn't find them until I took the folder back out and put it on the
desktop. In the Trust Center I have macros enabled and everything else is
Unchecked. Thank you for your time.

Sorry, unless the folder is on a network and/or there is a permissions
problem with the folder (not sure what that might be either), I don't
think I can help further on this one.

I'm having a vaguely similar issue. I have a Word 2007 document that
contains macros stored on a web server. If a user clicks the link and then
open the document, they cannot save it locally. They get an error message
that states there is not enough memory to save the file. However, if the
user clicks the link and chooses the Save option, they have no problem saving
it locally. This is definitely not a space issue, as it happens on many
different computers. I have also verified that Office 2003 users do not have
the same problem. I think there are a lot of quirks with the macros in
Office 2007.
