Deleting highlighted text

When highlighting text in a document and then pressing the
delete key, one of my users has started getting a message
at the bottom left hand side of the screen asking her to
confirm the deletion and prompting her to press N or Y.
Why has this started happening and how do I stop it?

Bill,

Tools>Options>General. Uncheck both WordPerfect User features.
