Has anyone had the problem where you delete a file and it
creates a copy in the same sub directory? Sometimes when
you delete the copy, it creates another copy!

What is the name of the file? If you are trying to delete an important,
protected system file, XP will immediately replace the file with a copy from
the dllcache folder.

No - not system files - just regular, like jpgs, txt, etc

Strange behavior. Have you emptied the Recycle Bin lately?

Do you have any utilities installed that might be creating the copies?
