Deleting files

I had inadvertently "restored" from a backup the Movie Maker folder (from
Windows folder?) which contains hundreds of folders and files. This folder
is on my C drive and I need get rid of it and all the files. Unfortunately
I can't deleted any of the files as I need ownership/permission. I am able
to change the ownership and permission of each file and delete it but doing
this for each item will take a long time. Is it possible to change the
ownership/permission of several files at a time?

What happens if you set permissions on the folder, rather than the
individual files?
