Permissions.

I am near desperation. The reason is VISTA's f....... permissions. I have
several folders with files under a general folder, and I am trying trying to
copy these to another PC on my network. The other PC runs on XP (a thousand
times better than this monster of VISTA). The VISTA PC will not let me copy
the folders with the message: You need permission to perform this action
HA? I have taken Ownership of all folders, set EVERYONE and all others to
Full Control, and still it does not let me do it. What is wrong with this
crippling VISTA?

Do you have permission to write to the share folder on the other computer,
though? Make sure to have both read and *write* permission for the share
folder on the other computer.

Sorry for not having answered the question quickly.
Yes, I have. I checked this before I tried to copy. I tried another way.
Instead copying from the VISTA machine to the XP Machine, I accessed the
folder on the VISTA machine from the XP machine and then copied it and this
worked without a glitch. I still do not understand the permission business
on this cripple of VISTA. With some folders it works with others it does
not.
