Deleting files

Hello,

I am trying tp delete some old back up files on my external hard drive and I
am having trouble deleting this file named "a7da307bc1e95b561214382e4." I
get the following message:"cannot delete ip: Access is denied." What can I
do to delete this file?

Try taking ownership of it.

You are trying to delete a class identifier which may be extremely difficult
to "get rid of" -
