Hi,
As a general rule of thumb, is it safe to delete any file that is found in
"my documents" as not being connected to any systems files.

Meaning as long as I don't mind what is contained in "my documents" and
don't mind it being deleted then should it be safe to delete?
Thanks
Samantha

A db file could be a mail merge file, or if you have done any databases, like
for any acctg software, visual basic, maybe possible a providers list of
databases. If something was done on a program and you don't mind not being
able to access that database anymore, it should be fine. maybe ACT software,
peachtree, microsoft word, etc.

Generally Yes. But you need to know the file. If it is a personal,Word etc , then there is no problems. File folders within My Documents should not be deleted unless it was you that created that file folder

Hi Samantha,

You can delete everything that is is there minus my pictures and my
music (although it is safe to delete those folders, but I recommend not
to). Although you can empty those folders. My documents is more like a
personal folder for a certain user. Every user on a machine has its own
my documents. Just check by yourself what is in there and what you
still need to keep.

Yes, it's safe. These are all your files, ones that you've
created with your apps. The system doesn't need them; you might,
but nobody else does. As long as you know you don't want them any
longer, go ahead and delete them.
