In Outlook 2003, when I delete an email, it has a line through it but is not
removed from the folder. How do you completely delete it?

Thanks, CMA

This is in an IMAP account, right? Edit | Purge Deleted Messages

Sue, this is a Pop mail account. I notice that the messages in my Inbox work
differently from those in other folders:

1) When I delete an Inbox message, it is not removed; it merely gets a line
through it.
2) When in the Inbox, most of the Toolbar buttons (including Forward) are
grayed out.

Why are Inbox messages treated differently from other
messages?

Thanks, CMA

I don't think it's a POP account. Look in the folder list and tell us what
you see as the parent folder for the Inbox.
