deleting desktop backgrounds

If anyone knows how to delete desktop backgrounds that
are are in my list and no longer wanted, please let me
know....

Look in the WALLPAPER directory (folder). Locate it with Window SEARCH tool.
 
Hi Tim,

The pictures that show up under display properties, desktop are located in
these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents\My Pictures
C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
