Deleting Calander Eevnts

I am using works 6.0 on my computer. It has windows Xp
for home use. I have all these old calander events I want
to get rid of but cant. I imported them from a previous
calander and can't get rid of them unless I go one by one
and delete them, instead of deleteing the sieries. Even
then the events show up again. Is tehre a way to get rid
of them for good so I can start over? Some of these
events go on for several years, so it takes a lot of time
to go one by one.
