Deleting archive folders

I had some old (empty) archive folders that I deleted
via "My Computer," leaving only the archive folders that I
currently use. However, the old ones they keep showing up
on my Outlook folder list; and when I try to do anything
to them -- open, close, whatever -- I get an error
message. How can I get rid of these? Thanks.

If you deleted the folders without first closing them from Outlook, it's
probably impossible to get rid of them without messing about in the vast
array of undocumented registry entries for Outlook profiles. The easiest
solution is to ignore it or create a new profile. You might also try
creating a new .pst file at the old location, to see if Outlook picks up it.
