Deleting all recurring appointments for a day

I want to know how I can delete all recurring appointments for a day and
change it to an all day event. The only way that I have been able to do it so
far is to delete each appointment one at a time. There's got to be a quicker
way.

if you are deleting just one occurrence you'll need to do it one at a time.
if you are deleting the entire appointment, switch to By Category view.
