I deleted several websites and pages directly from the "My Documents Folder" on my local machine that were never published to the web, however the shortcut to the folders still remain in the FP2003 Task pane menu. How can I remove them? Also, I am new to this application, could you reccommend a CD tutorial or Book that will help me understand all the options and commands in MS office FP2003. Since i'm disabled, I want to jump into web-site building full time. What is better software than FP2003 for building websites? Thanks in advance for your help and comments.

These are harmless, and most people just ignore them.
However, if you *must* clean these up, they're Registry
entries at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\
Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent File List

and

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\
Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent Web List

I generally recommend Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003
Inside Out.

There's no accounting for taste. However, FrontPage's
major competition these days is Macromedia DreamWeaver.

If you plan on doing much Web site programming (as
opposed to visual design) you should consider purchasing
Visual Basic .NET Standard, C# Standard, or a full-blown
version of Visual Studio as well as FrontPage.
