Deleting a recurring appointment

If you have a series of recurring appointments setup and one of the times
needs to be changed, am I correct in thinking that you would have to delete
that specific appointment and create a new one.

From what I gather if you alter the time within a single appointment in a
'series' it would remove any reminders from appearing for the rest of the
series?

I don't believe that would be necessary. You should be able to open one
occurrence and change its time. It works for me.
