Last night I did the dumbest thing ever. I deleted a user
profile by accident. Is there any way to recover the
profile, as it did not get put into the recycle bin?

Thanks

No. I'm afraid that there's nothing to be done, unless you
immediately stop using that computer and employ a 3rd-party data
recovery utility or service.

As Bruce already said, you cannot recover a deleted
user profile. There is a wider issue here: You should
never allow your users to store their files on their desktop.
Insist that they store them on a server drive, where they
get backed up.

This post is of no use to me.
If you cannot help me with this issue then do not post or send stupid comments like this one.

Many respondents in this newsgroup do not limit their
replies to the narrow issue under discussion. They
also consider the wider context of the problem. This is
useful for other readers in that it helps them avoid
mistakes instead of trying to fix them.

Furthermore, all the respondents in this newsgroup are
volunteers who give their time and expertise freely. They
expect no return for their efforts but they don't expect to
be abused either.

Ah, alas, one often expects it, even when trying to be helpful and not
trying to start a flamewar....sigh.

If it is of no use to you, feel free to ignore it.
The MS groups are 'staffed' by volunteers, including me, who are donating
their time to try to help others. There was nothing in my post that could
possibly have been read as a personal insult to you. I was merely commenting
that there exists a far better, far more supportable setup than your current
one - no sense putting bandaids on when you can avoid the problem entirely
in the future.
If you want immediate, one-on-one assistance with a problem, you can always
get out your credit card and call PSS.
