I am using Outlook 2007, bu,have had same problem with Outlook 2003.
Regulary, my Inbox fills up with Emails deleted over a month or so. I have
had as many as 800 old messages show up again!
They include messages supposedly deleted permanently from Delete folder.
I use RoadRunner, and, my settings are to keep messages on the server for 5
days unless deleted from Outlook. I keep my Deleted files a while to see if I
may want to use one again.
I have not tried setting Outlook to Delete files permanently when Deleting
them from my Inbox, or, setting the Server to not keep messages after
downloading them because my wife gets her Email through my server on her
networked computer. Even so, this re-filling of my Inbox with old messages
occurred before I setup a computer on a wireless network for my wife.
I have not tried setting the server to not keep messages more than 1 day.
Any help on this would be apprecited.
