Deleted mail stayed in INBOX until purge

Outlook 2002

Deleted mails still stay in INBOX.
Does not move to deleted folder.
Until go to Purge all deleted mail then gone.

Why and how?

I daresay you're account is an IMAP account and that's just the way the IMAP
protocols work.
