Deleted Items

When I delete items from my in box in Outlook Express, although they do move
to the deleted items folder, they also remain in the in box but are scored
through and highlighted in a different colour.

Also, when I drag items from the in box to another folder they also remain
in the in box. How can I stop this from happening?

Sounds like you are using an IMAP account. That's how IMAP works. You
deleting a message does NOT remove it from the IMAP mail server. You
have to run the Purge command to have your e-mail client then send a
command to delete it from the IMAP mail server.
