deleted items folder

When I am in deleted itesm and click "empty deleted itesm folder" I can only
delete one item at a time. Anybody know what is wrong?

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

Although it's labelled as for messages stuck in the Outbox,
it also works in other folders. If you don't know whether
to use the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version, try the
32-bit version first.

Norton and McAfee antivirus programs often cause this
problem, so if you have either, you may need to install the
fix again later.

A fix as been released by M$ to resolve the problem of undeletable mails in
"all" folders:

"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista"

I tried the download or update it didn't help. I guess my only option is the
next method they mention. I certainly am not the sharpest knife in the
drawer and don't want to spend days fixing things I just goofed up. Any more
suggestions?
