deleted files missing in recycle bin.

my settings in recycle bin properties have the "remove
files immediately" box unchecked. sometimes, not
everytime, deleted files are not visible in my recycle
bin, even worse, I know the deleted file is there but it
refuses to be restored. I've tried a regestry fix fom
kelly's korner called "restorerecyclebin.reg" but that
didn't work. any advice appreciated, thanx.(using xp/sp1)

I had this problem, if you delete all files in your re-cycle bin using Disk Cleanup, all files will be removed, but future deleted files will show normally in re-cycle bin. Don't know why this works, but it does
