Deleted Emails won't automatically delete when Windows Mail is clo

Last week I answered yes to a question that would condense my email and now
the emails that I delete from my in box will not automatically deleted from
my deleted items when Windows Mail is closed. I had the issue before (you'd
think I learn) and I downloaded a small program that worked, but now I can't
find that program again. Does any one have a suggestion? This is getting
annoying have to deleted the deleted items myself. Thanks!

The thing is, that 'small program does not correct the root problem,
which happens due to using a non-compatible antivirus program with
Windows Mail. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off your antivirus email scanning function does not resolve
your problem, consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it
is less prone to suffering bad effects from overly intrusive antivirus
