Deleted Address Auto-Completes

Outlook 2003 processing AT&T ISP email. A target addressee is Auto-Completing
a Deleted Address when I type his first name, not the current one. I use
Contacts Vs. Address Book (shows empty)entries . If I Clk the Address Book
Icon next to To: row, the list is much smaller than the actual Contacts List
in use. When first populating Outlook 2003 I had previously Saved Outlook
2002 Contacts as (.msg Files) via Cntrl C function Saved to a File I created,
and I Copied those .msg Files and pasted to the Open Contacts Page in 2003-
Don't think that's relevant but too much info is better than too little. (1)
How can I make the Address Book Icon reflect the actual Contacts Roster, and
(2) How can I make Auto-Complete reflect the address Currently in Contacts,
Not the Deleted Address? Thanks!

I realized I'm in the wrong place, I know, but I found the following if a
Moderator Relocates this to Outlook:
(1) Single Entry: "autocomplete is a history of addresses you've sent to.
use the arrow key to select incorrect addresses and press the Del key." That
worked for an MS chat poster in '05 (2) To Re-Set Entire Auto-Complete cache:
In Win Explorer:Tools:Folder Options:View: Chk Show Hidden Files-Folders:OK
Start:Search: In HardDrive Search for *.NK2 When found ReName it
profilename.bak Close Outlook and when Re-opened it's supposed to start
making a New cache.
