Delete Uninstall Hotfix files from W2k?

How do I delete uninstall files contained in the
C:\WINNT\$NtUninstall??????$ subdirectories so that the
listing is also removed from Add/Remove Programs? I need
to recover some space on my harddrive from all the
hotfixes that have automatically backed up files. Thanks.

You can delete the directories
%windir%\$KBxxxxxx$

If you attempt Add/Remove on a program that can't be found, you should be
prompted that the entry can be removed. Else navigate to
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
and delete the subkey for the program to remove it from Control
Panel|Add/Remove Programs
