Delete record of changes when Track Changes is on

Is there a way to delete the history of changes made to a
word document to ensure the recipient of the document
cannot access the changed and deleted text regardless of
how technically sophisticated they are? I assume the
changes are tracked and stored on the .doc file. Are they
completely deleted when the changes are accepted or
rejected?

Hi, Joe,

Yes, accepting/rejecting tracked changes and saving removes the old data
from the document (of course, you must turn off the Fast Saves option too,
but you should *always* have that turned off because it corrupts documents).

Once you accept all changes when using the track changes
option, and save the document the history and change bars
are gone.
