delete owners files and folders

hi, how can I delete theses files,

in doc & settings there are folders with ...owner , owner.myname ,
owner.myname.0001 , how do i get them to delete when i try it just says

cannot delete access is denied
make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is
not currently in use....
they are empty ... how do i find out if they are in use
