Delete one of the WinXPs in OS Selection

hi

I had Win98 on C: and WinXP on D:, bcz of some problems
on WinXP i installed it again from Win98 (using advance
setting and installing a fresh copy of WinXP). After
doing so and boot my computer i saw when i should select
OS there are one Win98 and two WinXP like following:

Microsoft Windows XP Proffesional
Microsoft Windows XP Proffesional
Microsoft Windows 98

How can i delete additionl WinXP ??
I should mention that the second WinXP do not work and
give error.

More than likely you have two duplicate entries in the file C:\boot.ini.
This is a system and read only file, so you need to be careful making any
changes to it. If there are two identical entities though, you can safely
remove one of them.
