Delete old posts?

How do you delete old posts that were posted and have been answered. How
long do they stay posted? can you remove a post you know longer want to stay
on the list.Thank You for your help

Forever {or perhaps forever less one year}.

Microsoft will delete posts from their servers after some period of time {do
not know how long}. However, various sites will collect the data and keep
it available.

Since you are using Outlook Express, you and select any post or collection
of posts and press the Delete key to delete them from your computer.

You can also use Outlook Express, Tools, Options, Maintenance, click on
Clean Up Now and then delete and compact the files on your computer.

Maintenance tab, and opt to automatically "Delete news messages (you input the number)
days after being downloaded."

That setting only removes the message body, not the message headers.

Sort by Sent column.
Highlight a post of date you want to delete.
Shift + Home or Shift + End to highlight up or down.
Delete

Or create a message rule to delete.
This rule must be manually applied.

In IE/OE there's an option under the Message menu item to 'Cancel' a post
that you've made. Works on some but not all news. servers.
