Why is it that I am not able to get rid of the all of the
items in my Internet Explorer History. When I type in a
letter or forward slash I get a list of site's that still
remain even after I delete history in the General Tab of
Internet Options. Why are there still site's listed
there? How do I get rid of these?

I was wondering the exact same thing. When I press the forward slash button I get a list of sites that I haven't been to in months. I've tried the same steps you have, as well as clearing out values in regedit, with no luck. I can't seem to delete those old URLs

I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone can answer... Thanks.

Is there even an actual 'History' folder in XP that I can
go to and manually delete those old web addresses? It's
so weird. You'd think a simple idea like clearing out the
History folder would actually be....simple. Is there some
weird quirky bug or something that's not allowing us to
perform this task?
