Delete from server

Hello,

In OE6 I could set a rule to delete a message from the server without
downloading it. How do I do this in Outlook 2007?

Outlook doesn't have that ability.

Hi Bob

You can do this in Outlook 2003. I do not have OL2007 so it might not be the same.

In Outlook go to Tools\Options\Mail Setup\Send/Receive\ Highlight the account then Edit and under Folder Options
select Download Headers Only. The message itself will stay on the server without downloading to your Outlook. After just Delete the message body from the server

That doesn't meet the OP's requirement that the message be deleted by rule
before it's downloaded.

Hi Brian

That is correct by rule. But by deleting any message manually in Outlook it can be done this way at least in Outlook 2003. Maybe same in Outlook 2007 but I do not have it to look up since the Beta was removed from my test machine a while back.
