I have a user who just upgraded to Outlook 2003. She said that when she
closed her previous version of Outlook that she was asked if she would like
to empty the Delete Folder. Is there a setting to do that in 2003?
Glenda

Yes.

Choose Tools - Options from the menu, then select the "Other" tab.
Check the "[ ] Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting" box.

Yes.
Choose Tools - Options from the menu, then select the "Other" tab.
Check the "[ ] Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting" box.

Don't change the subject of the thread when you reply. Also, be sure to
quote the relevant portions of the original message so everyone can tell
what the original problem was.

Tools/Options/Advanced Options/ tick the first option box
then click the Advanced options button and tick again the first option box.
