Delete "changed" email without ? message? How!?!?!?

Dear Reader, I sometimes get emails with attachments in Outlook. Sometimes I
have to open several "attachments?" or "forwards" (what are they called?!?)
inside the email to get to the desired attachment. When I am finished reading
the email, I delete them individually. When I do this, I get an Outlook
message that pops up and asks, "The item has been changed. Are you sure you
want to delete it?" How exactly has it changed, and why am I being
questioned? Of course I want to delete it. This pop-up slows down email
processing considerably. How do I stop it. Please don't suggest I correct the
sender by having them forward only the attachment. People can't be corrected.
Dover's law. I never had this problem in Outlook Express, and no, please
don't suggest I go back to OE. Thanks, Jimmy.

if I understand the problem, you are deleting the nested messages, not the
just the one you received them on? try closing all of the messages and
deleting the one you received.

What has changed is the actual message inside your Inbox. Outlook allows
you to modify the contents of a message. You are being asked if you really
want to change the message. If you're going to delete the message anyway,
don't delete the individual attachments. Just close them and delete the
message.
