i see the replies for the delete block question for word 2003. what about in
word 2007? the options are all different and the "Open WordPerfect documents
in Word" reference page at MS online is wrong about what categories show up
in help.

Word 2007 no longer has the WordPerfect options, so that solution is
irrelevant to that version.

The relevant settings have been removed from the optioins dialog in 2007.
Worse, the equivalent properties are "hidden" in VBA, meaning that a macro
can try to set them but it won't have any effect.

If you're seeing that behavior in 2007, the only recourse is to delete the
Data key in the registry, where the option values are stored, and let Word
rebuild the key. See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm for
instructions. For Word 2007, the version number in the key name is 12.0.
