Delete and reinstall on the same computer

My computer is really going wacko. Every year I have to
wipe it out completely to the condition it was when I
bought it new. The problem being is this. I agreed to
the terms set forth by microsoft for MS word 2002 and MS
excel 2002 and understood that it was a one time load
program. My problem is this, I paid up to $600.00 for
both of the programs and I cannot afford to lose them.
All I want to do is delete them and reinstall them on the
same computer. I really need to know how to do that
without losing them completely. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

You should have no trouble reinstalling on the same hardware.

And when you have done so, treat yourself to a copy of Norton Ghost 2003.
You will be able to backup the correctly working system and restore from the
backup to save all that reinstallation hassle in the future. It will be
worth its price in the time saved, the first time you use it.

But before doing so, make sure you have your CD keys handy (should be yellow
sticker on CD cases).

While you should always keep your CD keys safe, they are not required for
saving or restoring a Ghost image of the installed software.
