delete an email address permanently in Outlook 2002

I have deleted a contact. I have deleted the entry from the address book.
When I create a new email and type in the first few letters of a similiar
name the one I deleted still shows up. How can I clean this up to make the
unwanted one disappear?

When you start to type the contact and it auto-completes, press the Delete
key to remove it from the nick cache.
