Delete "account unknown" to clean up profiles in a domain

We recently migrated from Novel to Microsoft. At the end of the year, we
deleted hundreds of user profiles for students, not realizing what it would
do to our workstations. We now have workstations with "account unknown" on
them and no way to clean up the user profiles. I tried delprof.exe, but it
will not delete those accounts. Is there any automated\scripted way to do so?
Thanks.

I'm presuming you have AD - what you may want is to set up group policy to
not cache local copies of profiles. I don't remember exactly where that's
set, but if you post in microsoft.public.windows.group_policy you're likely
to get some help therein.
