How does one delete a checkbox? I added a checkbox (ActiveX control)
to a cell, and now I want to remove it. But when I select the cell and
hit the delete key, the checkbox remains. I've tried deleting the
column or row, but the checkbox simply moves to the next column or
row. Your help is much appreciated!

Open the Controlbox Toolbar then select the Design Mode icon.

Now select the checkbox and Edit>Clear>All

If you don't already have it displayed, click View/Toolbars/Visual Basic on
the Excel menu and the click on the Design Mode icon (triangle, ruler,
pencil) on that Visual Basic toolbar. When in Design Mode, select the
CheckBox and then press the Delete key. When done, click the Design Mode
icon again to turn that mode off again.
