Delete a block of text

Word
If I highlight a block of text then press delete, computer asks Delete
block? No (Yes)
If I Click Y it goes but I would like it to go when I press delete
 
In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.
