delegate rights.

Can anyone help me. I was set up a few years ago as a delegate for another
user on a network to be able to access their e-mails and calender and to
create, edit, and respond to e-mails. I responded to an e-mail a few months
for them through my e-mail and the recipient received an e-mail from the
original person not from me on their behalf. Can anyone explain why this is
please as it is causing a lot of problems. Thanks
 
You apparently have not just Send on Behalf but the more powerful Send As permission on that other person's mailbox. Only a network administrator can grant or revoke Send As permission, so it's not your fault, but you'll have to talk to the administrator if you want to get it fixed.
