Delayed Write Failed

I just had a yellow triangle with an exclamation point pop up in my system
tray; I clicked it and it went away, but when I checked my past items it
said it was for "Delayed Write Failed."

What is this?

I checked the MS Knowledge Base and it said something about using a 3ware
RAID controller, which I don't even know what that is and am pretty sure I
don't have it.

If it does not occur frequently, ignore it. And before ejecting removable
media, wait several seconds.

It's happened twice so far. I wasn't using any removable media.
