Deice Manager CPU entries

Have just purchased a new Compaq with P4 3.20 CPU. Curiously, the CPU is
listed twice under Processors in Device Manager. Why?

I tried going into safe-mode and uninstalling both entries but after reboot,
they are back. Has anyone else seen this? PC Pitstop test says I have 2
processors. If only :)

Presume it is not a problem.

It probably has hyperthreading.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\
System\CentralProcessor\0

If two are listed, delete one.

Thanks Kelly, but deleting both entries from the Registry did not solve the
duplicate entries. They re-appeared after reboot.
