Defragmenting

Hi everyone/ My first call for help, No matter how carefully I close down( i
have xp home installed) on the next boot up I get the message that I have
improperly shut down and my hard disc needs checking and the full Scandisk is
run. It always says the Hard disk is o.k and continues the boot sequence.
Have I a Hard disk problem.

You may well have a hard disk problem, so now's the time to find out.

XP's own Disk Error Checking is fine as far as it goes, but to get the real
skinny on a hard disk you need to run the drive manufacturer's diagnostics.
You can find these (along with instructions) on the manufacturer's web site.
